Two major development projects took place at Wilmslow Preparatory School over the summer. The projects consisted of a new contemporary entrance lobby at the front of the School and a new astro-turf facility that was installed at the School’s purpose-built Sports Hall.
The School, located on Grove Avenue, worked with local Macclesfield architects, Hamer Way to design the new look entrance.
Calvin Marketing designed the front entrance feature wall, using a combination of old and new photographs taken over the past 109 years. A scroll with WPS’ aims is displayed in the centre of the wall where students, staff and visitors can enjoy when entering the school.
Here’s a video of the feature wall:
Diana Stephenson, managing director of Calvin Marketing and marketing governor of the School said, “The School’s senior management team and board of governors have worked hard to get these projects completed and they are a fantastic addition to the School. We are delighted with the results!”
The developments were celebrated with an official launch event in September where 3 former headteachers cut the ribbon at the new entrance lobby.
Professional footballer Wes Brown was also on hand to officially open the new astro-turf pitch.
